Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, mad mic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kane kaine!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
mic shoots in for a takedown but kaine shows good takedown defense.
mic gets a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
kaine is staying active underneath mic, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
mic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
kaine landing strikes from the bottom.
kaine is trying to maintain the position but mic is very close to passing his half guard.
mic blocks the strikes from kaine.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
mic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but kaine paws at him with a jab and circles away.
kaine throws a series of punches but mic moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
mic looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
kaine fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. mic looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
mic closes this distance looking for a takedown but kaine circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for mad mic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
kaine wants to slow mic down by chopping away at his legs.
mic misses with a straight right.
kaine has taken the fight to the clinch.
mic tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. kaine smiles and moves away.
kaine fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
mic is breathing heavily.
kaine throws a head kick but mic moves out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for kaine. That snapped mic's head back.
mic takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
kaine connects with a nice cross there... mic is looking wobbly and kaine recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send mic to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - kaine jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kane kaine!
