Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bill Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Compton comes to the cage accompanied by Granville Bowlin - Wild Bill. Matthew West is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Compton! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 15 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew West! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Compton misses with a leg kick and West counters with a stiff right hand. West throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Compton throws a push kick but West slaps the foot to one side. Some bone on bone action there as West checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. West throws out a powerful jab. West throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Good shot there by West. Compton lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Compton throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck West on the side of the head. Compton with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A jab from Compton misses. Compton takes one to the chin there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Compton blocks a head kick by West.

Compton throws a head kick but West moves out of range.
Compton bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of West's head. Compton scores with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Compton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Compton throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Compton throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Compton throws a leg kick but West moved away. West lands with a cross. West swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Compton goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. West moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Compton scores with a kick to the body.
Compton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from West. West misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A swing and a miss from West. Compton will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
West is looking to clinch. Compton throws a front kick aimed at West's knee but West avoids it well. Compton misses with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Compton fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt West. West takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Compton throws a front kick aimed at West's knee but West avoids it well. Compton throws a low kick but West moves out of range easily. A looping hook to the body misses from West. Compton does a little dance to reset his feet. Compton scores with a spinning back kick! West pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Compton scores with a hook. West tries to clinch but Compton moves out of range. Compton lands a nice looking kick to the body. West takes a step back to recover. West on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Compton. Compton obviously looking to wear him down.
Compton connects with a good right hand that stumbles West. West circles away out of range and recomposes himself. West on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. West moves into range and clinches up with Compton. West misses with the head strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Compton lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Compton throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wests head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for West. Compton working aggressively here.
Compton is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. West misses with a hook to the ribs.
Compton lands a nice elbow. West lands a nice uppercut. Compton swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Compton works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Compton lands a hook to the side of the head. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Compton. West can't find room to land a body shot as Compton controls the action.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A short right from Compton. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Maybe Compton would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much. A hook to the body from West.

Compton swings wildly with an uppercut but West uses good head movement to avoid it. West blocks a punch to the side of the head.

West scores with a shoulder strike. With the fighters clinched against the cage, West creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. West digs a right hand underneath Compton's ribcage. Compton let out a lung full of air as it connected. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Compton misses with the head strike.
Compton throws a head punch that misses. West digs a right hand into Compton's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Compton's gas tank. Compton is breathing heavily. West tries to throw a body punch but Compton avoids it by throwing West back against the cage. West blocks a punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bill Compton will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Good exchange - West coming out on top. West drops Compton with a beautiful combination! Compton stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - West is looking for the KO!
Compton is rocked!

Compton is in big trouble! West lands again and this time it's lights out for Compton! A quality knockout there for West.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Matthew West! Matthew West is the new lightweight champion! An out of breath Matthew West thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
