Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reza Madadi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Gonzales !
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madadi closes the distance looking to clinch

and Gonzales counters by moving into the clinch.
Madadi is looking to break free of the clinch but Gonzales has double underhooks.

Madadi is fighting off a takedown attempt but Gonzales is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Madadi to the mat. Madadi regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Gonzales wants to control from the top but Madadi keeps moving.
Gonzales tries to free his leg and advance position but Madadi is retaining full guard.

Madadi has his feet on Gonzales 's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Madadi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Madadi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That was a close round but I would say that Reza Madadi will probably get the nod.
