The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales fails to land the takedown.

Gonzales ducks right into an uppercut from Boone.

Boone keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Boone tries to bum rush Gonzales with a series of wild strikes but Gonzales uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Boone looks to throw the jab but Gonzales is out of range.
Gonzales takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Boone throws a right and a left that Gonzales avoids nicely.
Boone scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Boone throws a series of punches but Gonzales avoids them all with ease.
Boone lands a left and a right that send Gonzales crashing to the mat, dazed. Boone thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Gonzales is rocked!

Boone throws a lazy uppercut
and Gonzales counters by moving into the clinch.
Gonzales is still on wobbly legs! Can Boone finish him?
Boone throws a punch but it's blocked by Gonzales .
Gonzales seems to have recovered his senses.
Boone working hard to break the clinch.

Gonzales is trying to pull guard but Boone turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Boone is trying to break free.
Gonzales has had enough of the clinch but Boone keeps him there for the moment.
Boone has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Gonzales tries to pull guard but Boone won't allow it.
Boone is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Gonzales fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gonzales escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gonzales walks into a jab.
Gonzales takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Boone scores with a body shot.
Robert Boone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Oooooh!!! Boone has knocked Gonzales down with a huge combo! Boone steps away and waves a wobbly Gonzales back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gonzales leaves his chin hanging out and Boone seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Gonzales crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Robert Boone!
A relieved looking Robert Boone thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
