1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Erik Vanderbelt! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fon Gadov shoots in for a takedown but Vanderbelt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign! Vanderbelt connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Vanderbelt shoots for a takedown but Fon Gadov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fon Gadov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vanderbelt swivels and escapes. Fon Gadov avoids the head kick by Vanderbelt.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Vanderbelt gets underhooks to prevent Fon Gadov's takedown attempt.

Fon Gadov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vanderbelt as he avoids it easily. Vanderbelt scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Horrible takedown by Fon Gadov or perhaps it was just good defense by Vanderbelt which made him look bad. Fon Gadov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vanderbelt. Fon Gadov fails to land with a series of punches.
Vanderbelt shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fon Gadov sprawls well. Fon Gadov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vanderbelt gets slowly back to his feet. Marvin Fon Gadov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vanderbelt fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fon Gadov sprawls well initially but Vanderbelt persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Erik Vanderbelt hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Vanderbelt moves out of range of the leg kick from Fon Gadov. Fon Gadov has a takedown stuffed. Vanderbelt tries a head kick but it misses.
Fon Gadov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Vanderbelt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fon Gadov sees that one coming and sprawls well. Vanderbelt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Vanderbelt gets caught napping as Fon Gadov dives in and scores a takedown. Vanderbelt manages to retain guard. Fon Gadov wants to control from the top but Vanderbelt keeps moving. Fon Gadov is really struggling to control Vanderbelt but he's trying to hold on to the position. Fon Gadov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Vanderbelt tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fon Gadov is in Vanderbelt's guard. Vanderbelt keeping full guard, as Fon Gadov tries to pass. Vanderbelt trying to control the position here. Fon Gadov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vanderbelt looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vanderbelt looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vanderbelt! Vanderbelt controlling the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vanderbelt with the ground and pound but Fon Gadov regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Vanderbelt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fon Gadov keeps working.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Erik Vanderbelt wasn't active enough on the ground. Vanderbelt shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fon Gadov but Fon Gadov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fon Gadov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vanderbelt sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fon Gadov takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Nice sprawl there from Vanderbelt as Fon Gadov shoots in. Vanderbelt tries for a takedown but Fon Gadov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fon Gadov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vanderbelt's guard. Fon Gadov stops Vanderbelt from standing up. Fon Gadov preventing the sweep. Fon Gadov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vanderbelt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Fon Gadov is working for a submission of some sort.

Fon Gadov wants to pass the guard but Vanderbelt is defending well. Fon Gadov is thwarting Vanderbelt's attempts to control the position. Fon Gadov moves nicely into side control. That was a close second round but I would say that Marvin Fon Gadov will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Fon Gadov tries to sprawl out of it but Vanderbelt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fon Gadov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Fon Gadov drives through with a takedown into Vanderbelt's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vanderbelt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fon Gadov is one step ahead there. Vanderbelt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fon Gadov manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vanderbelt throwing strikes from guard but Fon Gadov blocks nicely. Vanderbelt is pushing down on Fon Gadov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fon Gadov is fighting to maintain full guard but Vanderbelt has managed to sneak the leg through. Vanderbelt is pressing down on Fon Gadov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fon Gadov is holding on for now. Fon Gadov tries to kick Vanderbelt off but Vanderbelt keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Fon Gadov dives in and grabs Vanderbelt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vanderbelt pushes down on Fon Gadov's head and hops out. Vanderbelt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fon Gadov. Vanderbelt fails to land the takedown. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fon Gadov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fon Gadov wants it to stay on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Erik Vanderbelt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Vanderbelt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
