Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeAngelo Ross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jermaine Lamar!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lamar scores with a one two! Ross had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Nice sprawl there from Lamar as Ross shoots in.
Lamar throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ross lands a glancing blow to the side of Lamar's head.
A jab from Lamar finds it's way through Ross's defenses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ross moves into range and clinches up with Lamar.
Lamar is trying to force a seperation but Ross has the dominant position.
Ross drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lamar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Ross is trying to break the clinch but Lamar has him pressed against the cage.

Lamar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ross tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Ross rushes Lamar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lamar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ross shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lamar defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DeAngelo Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lamar tests Ross's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jermaine Lamar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ross moves into the clinch.
Ross is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lamar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Ross's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ross is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lamar throws a hook but Ross blocks it.
Ross tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lamar swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lamar with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lamar throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lamar throws a looping overhand right but Ross ducks down to avoid it.
A nice combination there by Lamar.
Ross moves out of range as Lamar strikes.
Lamar tried to score with a low kick but Ross checks it.
Lamar uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ross ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lamar circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Ross to the canvas! Ross doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Lamar keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jermaine Lamar!
