Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barabas Aramis Barabas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Loow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Loow will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Barabas Aramis Barabas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Loow!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aramis Barabas tries to land a body kick

and Loow counters with a shoot takedown. Aramis Barabas fights it but they end up in guard.
Loow's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Andy Loow wasn't active enough on the ground.
Aramis Barabas tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Loow moves into the clinch.
Aramis Barabas misses with a hook from the clinch.
Aramis Barabas goes for a takedown attempt but Loow pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Loow closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Aramis Barabas quickly recovers to half guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Loow lands a nice short elbow.
Aramis Barabas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Let's hope that Loow has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Aramis Barabas tries for a takedown but Loow circles away easily

and Loow moves into the clinch.
Aramis Barabas fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Loow jumps into guard, dragging Aramis Barabas to the mat.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Loow is on top in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Aramis Barabas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Loow jumps guard.
Loow manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Loow controlling the pace for now.

It looks like Loow might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Andy Loow hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Loow decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Aramis Barabas's guard.

Loow is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Loow's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Andy Loow wasn't active enough on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Andy Loow was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Loow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Loow lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Loow has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Loow lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Aramis Barabas!

Andy Loow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Loow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Loow slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
