Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simo Silppuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Rayson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Simo Silppuri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Rayson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rayson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silppuri prevents Rayson from improving position. Silppuri tries to improve position but can't. Rayson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Silppuri with a poor takedown and Rayson counters with a shoot takedown. Silppuri fights it but they end up in guard. Silppuri looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Silppuri lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rayson! Silppuri is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rayson is surviving well by controlling Silppuri's body position as best he can. Silppuri jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rayson manages to avoid the submission attempt. Silppuri is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Rayson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rayson is looking for a sweep. Rayson looking for a sweep but Silppuri has passed into full mount! Oh no! Silppuri looking to control but Rayson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Silppuri prevents Rayson from getting the reversal. Rayson tries to hold on but Silppuri postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rayson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Rayson is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Silppuri can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rayson is looking to escape. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silppuri with good strikes from the mount here! Rayson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Rayson gets back to half guard. Silppuri trying to control from half guard but Rayson is working away. Silppuri is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rayson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rayson won't allow Silppuri to pass to mount. Silppuri is trying to work for a kimura but Rayson is defending well.
Rayson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rayson. Silppuri trying to control the position from guard on top but Rayson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rayson working a defensive guard here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silppuri misses with a takedown attempt and Rayson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silppuri with a poor takedown and Rayson counters with a single leg into guard. Silppuri didn't expect that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simo Silppuri. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silppuri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Silppuri not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rayson wants to control from the top but Silppuri keeps moving. Rayson tries to free his leg and advance position but Silppuri is retaining full guard. Silppuri isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rayson stacks Silppuri on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rayson! Silppuri can't do much from the bottom here. Rayson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Silppuri! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silppuri is desperately trying to improve his position but Rayson has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Rayson dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Silppuri shoots and misses so Rayson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rayson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Silppuri is looking for a triangle but Rayson pushes his legs off easily.

Silppuri trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Rayson trying to control but Silppuri is working from the bottom. Rayson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rayson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silppuri, up you get! Silppuri misses with an uppercut. Rayson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Silppuri shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rayson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Rayson trying to control the action but Silppuri is working from the bottom. Silppuri moves into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silppuri is on top in guard.
Silppuri passes into half guard. Silppuri is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silppuri decides to stand up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Silppuri misses with a takedown and Rayson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silppuri's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simo Silppuri. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rayson trying to control the position from guard on top but Silppuri is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silppuri has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rayson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Silppuri looks for a takedown but Rayson sprawls well. Silppuri closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rayson circles away. Silppuri misses with a takedown attempt - Rayson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Silppuri pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rayson scores with a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rayson shoots in looking for a takedown. Silppuri tries to sprawl out of it but Rayson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silppuri manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A choreographed right hand from Silppuri misses the target. Silppuri with a lazy takedown attempt and Rayson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rayson. Silppuri had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Rayson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silppuri Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Rayson's back instead. Silppuri seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Rayson's chin but Rayson turns very nicely into Silppuri's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Rayson.
Rayson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silppuri trying to keep a closed guard but Rayson is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Silppuri struggling a bit here. Silppuri is not content to let Rayson control the position. Rayson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rayson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rayson decides to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Rayson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Silppuri forces Rayson back against the cage and clinches. Silppuri tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rayson smiles and moves away.
Silppuri gets caught flat footed, as Rayson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Silppuri controls Rayson momentarily but Rayson frees himself. Silppuri is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Silppuri keeping busy on the bottom but Rayson has passed one foot through into half guard.
Silppuri wants to control but Rayson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rayson is trying to control the action in half guard but Silppuri is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Silppuri looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rayson is working for a submission of some sort.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Silppuri doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rayson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silppuri won't be happy with that. Silppuri is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Rayson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silppuri keeps working. Silppuri is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rayson off and has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silppuri is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Rayson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Silppuri is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Rayson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Rayson trying to control the hands but Silppuri breaks the grip. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Silppuri's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Silppuri is thwarting Rayson's attempts to control the position. Silppuri wants to take a breather but Rayson is having none of it. Rayson gets full guard. Rayson throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Silppuri is looking to advance position but Rayson has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Rayson looking to finish Silppuri with some ground and pound. This is bad for Silppuri! Silppuri is looking to improve his position but Rayson isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Silppuri is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rayson prevents Silppuri from getting the reversal. Silppuri tries to hold on but Rayson pushes him away. Silppuri regains half guard. Silppuri moves into full guard.
Silppuri manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Simo Silppuri has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Silppuri working for a submission but Rayson is keeping him at bay.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Bobby Rayson. I've got Rayson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
