Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddy Maiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Pembelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maiden comes to the cage accompanied by Walk. Pembelton has chosen Hail Mary by Tupac as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddy Maiden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 25 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Pembelton! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pembelton misses with a looping right. Maiden digs a good hook to Pembelton's body.
Pembelton misses with a takedown attempt - Maiden sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pembelton slips a jab and a cross from Maiden.
Maiden keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pembelton moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Pembelton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Maiden moves in looking to clinch but Pembelton pushes him off. Maiden misses the jab. Pembelton works Maiden's body with a nice hook. Pembelton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maiden.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pembelton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maiden is fending him off so far but Pembelton persists. Nope, Maiden circles away and we're back to standing. Eddy Maiden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Pembelton. Pembelton on the wrong end of a nice hook. Pembelton swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pembelton looks to land a right hand but Maiden moved out of range. Maiden ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pembelton moves away. Maiden missing with a left hand there. Pembelton was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Good work by Pembelton as he checks the leg kick. Pembelton cracks Maiden with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Eddy Maiden has been cut. Pembelton dips to his left and cracks Maiden with an uppercut! Pembelton darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Maiden leaves Pembelton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pembelton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Maiden was covering up waiting for the punch and Pembelton finishes the takedown easily into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Pembelton trying to control the position from guard on top but Maiden is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pembelton drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Maiden manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pembelton has Maiden in his guard. Pembelton looking for subs off his back but Maiden has passed one foot through into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maiden keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Pembelton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Maiden is working away from the top position though. Maiden performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Pembelton tries to get to full guard but Maiden has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pembelton is trying to control but Maiden passes into side control!
Pembelton is trying to control Maiden's posture but Maiden avoids it. Pembelton is trying to improve his position. Maiden is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pembelton taking punishment in the form of punches.

A close round but Frank Pembelton will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Eddy Maiden's cut. That's time! Maiden's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pembelton misses with an uppercut. Maiden saw that one coming. Maiden throws a good cross that connects.

Maiden throws a hook to the side of Pembelton's head but Pembelton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Maiden looks to land a right hand but Pembelton moved out of range. Maiden darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Maiden scores with a jab. A left and a right from Maiden both land. Nice combination. Eddy Maiden is winning the standup battle so far. Pembelton lands a jab to the head.
Pembelton shoots and misses and Maiden counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pembelton is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Maiden is defending well.

Pembelton has Maiden pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Maiden manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Maiden lands a left hand.

Pembelton wants to take the fight to the mat but Maiden manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Maiden will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pembelton up against the cage. Pembelton manages to break the clinch.
Pembelton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Maiden throws a leg kick but Pembelton checks it. Pembelton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pembelton misses the shot to the body. Maiden tries to land a front kick but Pembelton steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Pembelton blocks a head kick by Maiden.
Pembelton ducks under a wild hook from Maiden. Maiden missing with a left hand there. Pembelton was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Maiden's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pembelton under the eye. Pembelton looking to score a takedown here. Maiden is defending well but Pembelton drives through and ends up in Maiden's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maiden keeping moving, preventing Pembelton from controlling successfully. Maiden is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maiden keeping full guard, as Pembelton tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pembelton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Maiden utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pembelton wants to control from the top but Maiden keeps moving. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maiden is on top in guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Eddy Maiden will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Eddy Maiden's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Maiden throws a chopping leg kick but Pembelton manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Maiden throws a looping overhand right but Pembelton ducks down to avoid it. Pembelton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maiden tries to avoid it but Pembelton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maiden to the ground. Maiden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Pembelton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Maiden counters by moving into the clinch. Maiden lands a hook to the side of the head. Pembelton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Maiden pulls his leg out and moves away.

Good shot there by Maiden. Pembelton looks to score with a jab to the body but Maiden is just out of range. Pembelton avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Maiden stuffs a takedown. and Pembelton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Maiden drives through and clinches with Pembelton against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Maiden is trying to pull guard but Pembelton turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Maiden misses with a body punch.
Maiden lands with a left to the head. Pembelton wants a takedown but no success here.
Pembelton is looking to take this one to the mat. A head punch blocked on the inside by Pembelton. Pembelton is looking to control Maiden's arms but Maiden gets an underhook and turns him. Now Pembelton has his back to the cage. Pembelton drags the fight down to the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Maiden decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Maiden motions for Pembelton to come forward. Maiden throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Maiden with a hook. Maiden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pembelton.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pembelton fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Maiden keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Maiden, as that shot connected.
