Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mak Frajd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ça vaut mieux que d'attraper la scarlatine by Ray Venture. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mak Frajd!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Connor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Frajd sprawls well initially but Connor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Frajd tries to roll over but Connor keeps him under control.
Connor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Frajd keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frajd slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Connor showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Connor wants to control from the top but Frajd keeps moving.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Connor's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Frajd is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Frajd has momentary wrist control but Connor slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Connor postures up and lands a big shot to Frajd's brow.

Frajd wants to stand up but Connor is controlling him.

Frajd not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Connor wants to control from the top but Frajd keeps moving.
Connor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frajd swivels though and keeps the full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Frajd shoots in looking for a takedown but Connor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Frajd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Frajd tries to move into range but Connor moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Connor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Connor wants it to stay on the feet.
Connor lands with a hook. Frajd tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Frajd shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Connor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Frajd defends it easily.

Connor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frajd is one step ahead there.

Connor has his foot on Frajd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Frajd works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Frajd drops back looking for a leg! Connor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Connor manages to kick Frajd off! Frajd jumps back into Connor's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Connor dominated that round.
That's time! Connor's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Connor closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Frajd did well to prevent Connor getting side control.

Connor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Frajd does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Frajd wants to get back to full guard.
Connor is trying to control the action in half guard but Frajd is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Connor is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Frajd is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Connor!
