The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole takes a swing at Medeiros's ribcage but misses.
Cole is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cole scores with a jab to the jaw.
Medeiros takes one to the chin there.
Cole connects with a good right hand that stumbles Medeiros. Medeiros circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Cole takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Cole misses with a low kick.
Medeiros misses with a body shot.
Jose Medeiros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Medeiros misses with a straight right.
Medeiros throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cole ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Cole as Medeiros shoots in.
Cole fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Medeiros needs to keep his hands up - Cole had a free shot at his head there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Medeiros takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Cole just misses with a punch to the body.
Medeiros throws a leg kick but Cole sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Medeiros throws a series of punches but Cole avoids them all with ease.
Cole slips a straight right by Medeiros.
Cole connects with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cole jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Medeiros scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Medeiros has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cole defend it? Medeiros steps over the head and cranks it - Cole is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Medeiros!
