Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tron Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sozu Arghei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dogs Out- DMX. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tron Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sozu Arghei!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Arghei fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Carter takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Carter fails with a takedown attempt.
Sozu Arghei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arghei avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Good exchange - Arghei coming out on top.
Carter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Arghei thuds a left hand into Carter's body.

Arghei thuds his right hand into Carter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Carter darts in and clinches Arghei up against the cage.

Carter lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Carter goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Carter breaks from the clinch.
Carter scores with a jab to the body.
Carter moves away from the strike by Arghei.
Arghei lands with a nice combination. Carter backs away looking to recover.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Arghei has time to react.
A left and a right from Arghei both land. Nice combination.


Carter is rocked!

Arghei avoids the body shot from Carter.
Carter fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Arghei looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Arghei looks to land a left hand but Carter moved out of range nicely.
Arghei digs a good body shot into Carter's ribs.

and Carter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Arghei's guard now.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Carter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Carter throws a big right hand that misses.

Carter slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Carter cracks Arghei with a big elbow.

Carter looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Arghei is avoiding damage well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carter is looking to take a break and control but Arghei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Carter is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Arghei will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
We've been hearing good reports from Carter's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Carter has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Arghei really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Arghei bucks up and tries to throw Carter off but instead Carter has got his back!
Even with his hooks in, Carter manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Arghei on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Arghei is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Carter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Carter is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Arghei has managed to free his arm - good work.

Arghei is still in real trouble! Can Carter finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Arghei really wants to buck Carter off and get back to his feet.
Tron Carter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Carter looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Arghei covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Tron Carter was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
