Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dev Vasilios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BabyJay Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasilios comes to the cage accompanied by Cant be touched!. On his way into the cage it seems that Dev Vasilios has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dev Vasilios seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Vasilios has his hands clasped together around Penn's back. He's all about the action.
Vasilios wants to improve his position but Penn is controlling well.

Vasilios is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Vasilios is looking for a kimura but Penn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Vasilios to get the leverage.
Vasilios is taking a breather. Penn says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Penn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vasilios is working away from the top position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Vasilios throws a low kick, looking for Penn's leg but Penn calmly moves out of range.

Penn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Vasilios loads up on a big right hand but Penn slips the punch.
Penn missing with a left hand there. Vasilios was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Vasilios shoots in looking for a takedown but Penn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vasilios's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Vasilios moves into the clinch successfully.
Vasilios stalling in the clinch but Penn improves position.
Penn tries a knee to the head but Vasilios blocks it.
Penn looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Vasilios tries to pull guard but Penn holds him up against the cage and eventually Vasilios drops back down to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Penn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Penn is looking to break free of the clinch but Vasilios has double underhooks.
Vasilios stalls.

Vasilios manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Penn tries to free his leg and advance position but Vasilios is retaining full guard.

Penn drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vasilios looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vasilios looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vasilios!

That's time! Vasilios's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Vasilios is trying to maintain a safe position but Penn gets an underhook and turns Vasilios into the cage.

Penn is trying to push Vasilios away but Vasilios has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Penn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Penn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Vasilios tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Penn gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Vasilios wants to control but Penn is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Vasilios moves into full guard.

Penn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Vasilios dives on top into guard.
Penn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Vasilios is stalling in the full guard.
Vasilios forces his way into half guard.

Vasilios has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Vasilios is working for a guillotine from mount but Penn frees his head quite easily.

Penn wants to control but Vasilios is having none of it.
Penn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vasilios. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vasilios has control of Penn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Penn regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Penn is squirming around, avoiding Vasilios's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vasilios lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Penn hang on?

Dev Vasilios showed his dominance in that final round.
