The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Crespo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Crespo working the strikes but Ruiz uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Crespo is looking to advance position but Ruiz won't allow it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Crespo in particular looking to stall.
Crespo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crespo works his way into full mount!
Ruiz suckers Crespo into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Ruiz is now in Crespo's guard!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ruiz drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ruiz seems to have locked his on tight now - Crespo screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ruiz, as he picks up the win!
