Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cm Punk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolay Sorokin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikolay Sorokin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorokin tries to clinch but Punk moves out of range.
Sorokin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sorokin drives through and clinches with Punk against the cage.
Punk tries to pull guard but Sorokin holds him up against the cage and eventually Punk drops back down to his feet.
Sorokin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Punk counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sorokin is trying to control Punk's posture but Punk avoids it.
Sorokin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Punk haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nikolay Sorokin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sorokin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Punk counters with a single leg into guard. Sorokin didn't expect that.
Sorokin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Punk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
