Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ragnar Bjorn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Atok Guinahal! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Guinahal. Bjorn closes the distance and pushes Guinahal back into the cage. Guinahal being controlled against the cage. Nice elbow from Bjorn. Guinahal changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bjorn fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Guinahal shoots in for a takedown but Bjorn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ragnar Bjorn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atok Guinahal. Guinahal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bjorn is looking to clinch but Guinahal is avoiding it.
Guinahal shoots in for a double leg but Bjorn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bjorn drives through and clinches with Guinahal against the cage.

Guinahal wants to take the fight to the mat but Bjorn manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guinahal takes a knee to the side of the body. Bjorn just leaning against Guinahal, taking a breather. Guinahal is working for takedown but Bjorn is calmly controlling the position for now. Bjorn scores with a knee to the head.

Guinahal looks winded! Guinahal takes an elbow to the temple. Bjorn stalling against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Ragnar Bjorn. Bjorn gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bjorn gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Guinahal.
The referee is keeping an eye on Bjorn - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bjorn stalling in the clinch.

Ragnar Bjorn dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Guinahal shoots for a double leg takedown but Bjorn sprawls well. He's pushed Guinahal's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ragnar Bjorn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Guinahal just misses with a punch to the body.
Bjorn uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Guinahal. Guinahal darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Guinahal seems to be looking for submissions.
Bjorn pushes Guinahal off looking to stand but Guinahal dives back in and keeps control.
Guinahal missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Guinahal trying to control the action but Bjorn is working from the bottom. Guinahal has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Guinahal thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bjorn is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guinahal not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Guinahal is nestled in close to Bjorn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Guinahal throwing shots but Bjorn is blocking nicely. Bjorn is not content to let Guinahal control the position. Guinahal stalling away here and it's allowed Bjorn to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Guinahal throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Guinahal is standing up over Bjorn. Bjorn looks to escape but Guinahal dives into side control.
Guinahal wants to control but Bjorn is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bjorn tries to escape but Guinahal is in control. Guinahal lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bjorn down.
Guinahal looks up at the clock and then as Bjorn takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Guinahal smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bjorn dodges the ground and pound from Guinahal. Guinahal wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bjorn, who protects the arm well. Guinahal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Guinahal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Guinahal is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bjorn avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Guinahal. Bjorn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guinahal on the ground. Guinahal has knee on belly momentarily but Bjorn bucks him off and regains half guard. Guinahal is trying to control the action in half guard but Bjorn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Bjorn wants to get back to his feet.
Bjorn manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bjorn closes the distance and clinches. Bjorn pressing his opponent against the cage. Guinahal goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bjorn prevents it.
Guinahal takes a knee right on the jaw!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bjorn displaying some good clinch control by pressing Guinahal up against the cage. Guinahal tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bjorn smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Atok Guinahal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Bjorn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Guinahal shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bjorn as he avoids it easily. Bjorn moves in looking to clinch but Guinahal pushes him off. Bjorn pushes Guinahal up against the cage in a clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bjorn takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Guinahal has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bjorn avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bjorn lands a knee to the body.

A head kick from Bjorn lands but Guinahal takes it in his stride. Guinahal takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bjorn wants to clinch up but Guinahal keeps it at a distance. Guinahal fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ragnar Bjorn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atok Guinahal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guinahal has a takedown stuffed. Guinahal forces Bjorn back against the cage and clinches. Guinahal jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bjorn walks away with a smile on his face. Guinahal gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bjorn tries to clinch there but Guinahal circles away.

Bjorn closes the distance and clinches. Bjorn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bjorn is looking to clinch. Bjorn forces Guinahal back against the cage and clinches. Bjorn lands a good knee to the midsection. Guinahal won't want to take too many of those.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guinahal is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bjorn gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Bjorn manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Guinahal has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bjorn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bjorn connects with a nasty looking knee right to Guinahal's face.

Guinahal seems to have recovered his senses. Atok Guinahal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bjorn gets a clinch. Guinahal tries for a takedown. No joy.
Come on Bjorn - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
