Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sith One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikael Lindgren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). One comes into the arena with Sith blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sith One! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mikael Lindgren! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! One tries for a takedown but Lindgren circles away easily and Lindgren counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lindgren is looking to advance position but One won't allow it. Lindgren is sneakily working for an arm triangle but One sees it coming and defends easily. One is trying to maintain the position but Lindgren is very close to passing his half guard. Lindgren is looking to pass One's guard but actually One recovers to full guard. One might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. One is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. One is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lindgren is aware though and is defending well. Lindgren trying to control the position from guard on top but One is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. One looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! That's four minutes gone in the round. One is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lindgren is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. One working away. One is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lindgren is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lindgren gets back to half guard. Lindgren looking for submissions from an awkward position here. One is keen to just control but Lindgren is a slippery customer. Lindgren is trying to control but can't.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Lindgren regains full guard. Nicely done. Lindgren wants to sweep here but One controlling him for the moment. Lindgren is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. One is pushing down on Lindgren's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lindgren is fighting to maintain full guard but One has managed to sneak the leg through. Lindgren looking for submissions off his back. One is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! One controlling his opponent. One moves to the back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. I really don't envy Lindgren right now.

One fails to advance to Lindgren's back. One wants to control the pace but Lindgren is squirming around nicely.

One fails to advance to Lindgren's back. One with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

One wants to control the pace but Lindgren is squirming around nicely. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lindgren wants to get back to full guard. One wants to take a breather but Lindgren is having none of it. Lindgren is trying to maintain the position but One is very close to passing his half guard. Lindgren is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of One's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take One's back! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. One defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Lindgren's arms. Lindgren working for the choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sith One will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
One darts in looking for a takedown but Lindgren gets double underhooks and turns One into the ropes. Lindgren tightens his grip and picks One up, before dumping him to the ground. One manages to land in guard. Lindgren seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
