The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters circling - Macarenco throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Batista buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kilo Macarenco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Batista closes the distance and clinches.
Batista creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Macarenco's defenses.

Batista lands a vicious elbow to the side of Macarenco's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Batista tries to finish him with strikes but Macarenco still seems able to defend himself so Batista steps back and lets Macarenco get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.
Macarenco is rocked!
Kilo Macarenco's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Oh Macarenco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clinched against the cage, Batista lands a big elbow that drops Macarenco! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Macarenco is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
