The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey misses with a double jab.
Karelin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nice body kick from Dempsey.
Dempsey thumps Karelin with a low kick.
Dempsey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karelin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Karelin misses with a series of wild punches.

Dempsey lands a big uppercut and Karelin crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Karelin looks OK. Dempsey waves Karelin back to his feet!

It looks like Aleksandr Karelin has been cut.

Karelin tries to clinch but Dempsey is having none of it.

Dempsey cracks Karelin with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Dempsey has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Karelin to stand back up!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karelin throws out a loose jab but Dempsey uses good head movement to avoid it.

Dempsey Throws a clean left jab. Dempsey Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Karelin's chin! Karelin crumbles to the ground and Dempsey follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Dempsey!
