Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Malone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wullie Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Bobby Malone has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malone gets a takedown into half guard. Malone gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Malone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Malone. Malone stands up and beckons Rogers to his feet. Rogers shoots in and bounces Malone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Rogers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Rogers slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Malone is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Rogers decides to take the fight back to the feet. Malone with a poor takedown and Rogers counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rogers working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Malone wants to get back to his feet. Malone is breathing heavily. Rogers wants to pass the guard but Malone is defending well. Malone is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers uses his free foot to push down on Malone's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Malone. Rogers looking to finish Malone with some ground and pound. This is bad for Malone! The referee warns Malone that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Malone really wants to buck Rogers off and get back to his feet. Rogers is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Malone has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Malone is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rogers is landing with some decent strikes but Malone is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Rogers lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malone tries to buck Rogers off but he can't manage it. Rogers lands a big elbow. Rogers jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Malone manages to avoid the submission attempt. Rogers scores with a couple of short elbows. Rogers working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rogers tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rogers has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rogers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Malone, who protects the arm well. Malone wants to get back to his feet but Rogers drags him back down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Malone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Malone wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Rogers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Malone is trying to escape and get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rogers has an Americana. Malone didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rogers is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rogers hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
