Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guy Kopec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Chuin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kopec kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Boats 'N Hoes. Chuin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Remo WIlliams Theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Guy Kopec has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Guy Kopec! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Master Chuin! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chuin throws a sloppy head kick and Kopec moves out of range easily. Kopec misses with a few strikes there.

Chuin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Chuin with a poor takedown and Kopec counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Chuin misses with a takedown attempt - Kopec sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kopec scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chuin stands and throws Kopec's legs to the side, diving into side control. Chuin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Guy Kopec will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kopec's guard. Kopec looks like he's trying to stand up.
Chuin trying to mount his opponent but Kopec defends it. Chuin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kopec does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chuin is looking for a kimura but Kopec is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chuin to get the leverage. Kopec pushes Chuin off looking to stand but Chuin dives back in and keeps control.

Kopec is looking to escape. Chuin is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Kopec is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
