Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Moe Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roddy Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lester kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Twisted. Piper has chosen Real Men Wear Skirts as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lester defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Piper.
Piper just misses with a punch to the body.
Lester moves away from the strike by Piper.
Lester connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Piper lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Piper throws a left that rocks Lester and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Piper dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Lester regain composure!

This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
You can see the frustration on Lester's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lester tries to bench press Piper off him but Piper keeps the position.
The strikes coming from Piper are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Lester tries to close the distance and clinch but Piper swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Piper throws out a leg kick but Lester moves out of range and Piper only half commits.

Piper cracks Lester with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Piper throws a lazy right hand but Lester sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lester. Piper does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lester works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Piper paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Piper on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Piper pushes Lester away with a front kick.

Piper's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lester connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Piper scrambles back to his feet.
Lester throws out a loose jab but Piper uses good head movement to avoid it.

Piper misses the shot to the body.
Piper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Piper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lester moves away.

and Lester counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Lester moves in looking to clinch but Piper pushes him off.
A solid leg kick lands there for Piper.
Lester throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Piper throws out a leg kick but Lester moves out of range and Piper only half commits.
Lester misses with a few strikes there.
A head kick misses from Piper.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nice uppercut there from Piper.
Lester pivots, looking for a leg kick but Piper is out of range and Lester settles back down.
Moe Lester is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Piper connects with a leg kick. Lester looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Piper takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roddy Piper dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Piper throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lester was covering up waiting for the punch and Piper finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lester can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Piper controls the pace.

Lester lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Piper!

Piper feints and then cracks Lester's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lester down.

Piper has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Piper has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Piper there as he acknowledges the shot.
Good leg kick by Lester there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Piper throws a solid leg kick but Lester takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Piper.

Piper tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
