Flabbott is trying to trip McClean. He has hold of a leg but McClean is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Flabbott persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McClean is looking to get back to is feet but Flabbott passes into side control.
Flabbott wants to lay and pray for a moment but McClean keeps working.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McClean is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Flabbott has just dragged him back down to the mat.

McClean pushes Flabbott away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Flabbott gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Flabbott tries for a kimura but McClean is defending well.

Flabbott works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
McClean is rocked!
Flabbott lands a strong strike to the head of McClean. That's dazed him! Flabbott looking to finish here. McClean is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Flabbott lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shank Flabbott!
