Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Bitchbing!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Waby!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waby throws a body punch but Bitchbing moves out of range.
Bitchbing closes the distance looking to clinch
and Waby counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Waby controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bitchbing definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Waby looking to pass the guard.
Waby is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Waby wants to control from the top but Bitchbing keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Scott Waby.
Bitchbing is looking to clinch.
Waby fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bitchbing to the ground. Waby is now in Bitchbing's guard.

Waby drops back looking for a leg! Bitchbing is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bitchbing manages to kick Waby off! Waby jumps back into Bitchbing's guard.
Waby looking to sit in guard and control but Bitchbing gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Bitchbing wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Bitchbing has managed to clinch.
Waby tries to score a body lock takedown but Bitchbing shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Bitchbing pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Waby lands with a right to the head.

Waby on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Waby drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bitchbing pulls his leg out and moves away.
Waby circles away from the clinch attempt
and Waby counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Waby drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bitchbing dives on top into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Waby controls Bitchbing momentarily but Bitchbing frees himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bitchbing tries to close the distance and clinch but Waby swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Waby connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bitchbing's hands.
Waby avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bitchbing is looking to clinch.
Waby cracks Bitchbing with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Bitchbing tries to close the distance and clinch but Waby swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bitchbing tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Waby manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Waby shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Waby showed some decent athleticism there.
Waby is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bitchbing!
Waby tries to control but Bitchbing wriggling away.

Waby might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bitchbing haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Waby moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bitchbing has worked his arm free - good work by Bitchbing!
Waby wants to control but Bitchbing is keeping him busy.
Waby is chipping away with strikes.
Bitchbing prevents Waby from moving into mount.
Waby is still trying to improve position.

Bitchbing wants to control but Waby postures up.

Bitchbing gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Bitchbing sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Waby is taking a breather. Bitchbing says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Waby tries to pass to full mount but Bitchbing defends it.

Waby seems to be looking for submissions.
Bitchbing gets full guard.
Waby trying to control the position from guard on top but Bitchbing is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Waby loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bitchbing looking to hit a scissor sweep but Waby is one step ahead there.
Waby trying to control but Bitchbing is working from the bottom.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Scott Waby.
Bitchbing closes the distance looking to clinch
and Waby counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bitchbing won't be happy with that.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Waby postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bitchbing can't do much from the bottom here.
Waby is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bitchbing has escaped the position, nice work there.

Scott Waby showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Waby is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Michael Bitchbing has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Scott Waby comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

A determined Scott Waby didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
