Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cant Think A Name (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joni Sipil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think A Name might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to beast and the harlot. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joni Sipil!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A Name shoots in looking for a takedown but Sipil manages to keep the fight standing, pushing A Name's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sipil swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A Name checks a low kick from Sipil.
Sipil misses with a low kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from A Name.
Sipil leaves A Name with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cant Think A Name. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sipil jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Sipil swings for the body but A Name moves out of range.

A Name throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sipil tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. A Name is in Sipil's guard.
A Name slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A Name drops back looking for a leg! Sipil is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sipil manages to kick A Name off! A Name jumps back into Sipil's guard.

Sipil manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. A Name manages to get himself to full guard.
A Name is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Cant Think A Name will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A Name dives in and grabs Sipil's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sipil pushes down on A Name's head and hops out.

Sipil throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sipil tries to score with a low kick but A Name moves his leg out of the way.
A Name shoots in looking for a takedown. Sipil tries to sprawl out of it but A Name keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sipil manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A Name working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sipil doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sipil manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sipil fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. A Name sprawls well initially but Sipil persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Sipil seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sipil connects with a nice short shot to A Name's temple.

A Name is staying active underneath Sipil, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
A Name really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
