Berzins comes to the cage accompanied by Takedown - Blue Stahli. Walls has chosen Can´t hold us as his entrance music. Break Walls will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Break Walls!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Walls closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Berzins being controlled against the cage.
Walls lands a left hand that snaps the head of Berzins backwards.
Berzins jumps guard but Walls turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Berzins fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Walls lands with a right to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Walls.
Walls lands a body punch in the clinch.
Berzins fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Berzins jumps guard but Walls stands there with Berzins around his waist. Berzins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Berzins drops down looking for an ankle pick but Walls pulls his leg out and moves away.

Walls instigates a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Walls.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Walls creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Walls is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Walls works on Berzins's body with a couple of short punches.
Berzins tries to pull guard but Walls won't allow it.
Berzins is trying to pull guard but Walls turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Berzins has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walls is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Walls lands with a short shot to the head.
Berzins tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walls smiles and moves away.

Berzins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Berzins keeping moving, preventing Walls from controlling successfully.
Walls throws an elbow that misses. Berzins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walls's guard. Nice move by Berzins!

Walls had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Berzins defends it easily.
Berzins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Walls is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Berzins is controlling him.

Berzins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Berzins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Walls's guard.

Berzins wants to work for an arm triangle but Walls is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Berzins is keen to just control but Walls is a slippery customer.

Berzins looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Still in half guard, Berzins seems content to control.
Walls is staying active underneath Berzins, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Walls is looking to escape.
Walls is looking for a sweep. Berzins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Walls pushes Berzins off looking to stand but Berzins dives back in and keeps control.

Berzins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Walls is just riding it out for now. Berzins eventually gives up the hold.
Walls wants to get back to full guard but Berzins has passed into side control.
Berzins advances to full mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Walls is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Berzins trying to control but Walls is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Berzins working for a submission but Walls is keeping him at bay.
Berzins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Walls is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Break Walls will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Walls. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Walls prevents a takedown attempt there.

Berzins's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Berzins jumps guard but Walls turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Berzins is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Walls to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Berzins. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Berzins is trying to trip Walls. He has hold of a leg but Walls is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Berzins persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Walls is looking to stand up but Berzins isn't so interested in that idea.
Walls looking to hit a scissor sweep but Berzins is one step ahead there.
Walls wants to stand up but Berzins is controlling him.

Berzins is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Walls is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Michael Berzins got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
