Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Dionysus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Nickoson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anthony Nickoson!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickoson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nickoson showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Nickoson is trying to control. Dionysus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Nickoson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dionysus!
Nickoson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dionysus is looking to escape.
Dionysus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Dionysus is trying desperately to improve position.
Nickoson working for a guillotine from mount but Dionysus is in no mood to give up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nickoson trying to control but Dionysus is having none of it.
Nickoson has control of Dionysus's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dionysus regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dionysus working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nickoson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dionysus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Nickoson takes Dionysus's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Dionysus is in trouble.
Dionysus has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Nickoson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Dionysus! Can he survive? No! He's out! Nickoson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
