And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kalkbrenner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kalkbrenner drops his hands momentarily and Machida takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A cross from Machida lands.
Machida misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Machida blocks a low kick nicely.
Kalkbrenner has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kalkbrenner misses with a left hand
and Machida counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kalkbrenner tries to work over Machida's front leg with a kick but Machida checks it.
Kalkbrenner swings for the body but Machida moves out of range.
Kalkbrenner misses with a body kick.
Machida lands a slapping body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Machida wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Machida throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kalkbrenner stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Machida digs a good hook to Kalkbrenner's body.

Machida misses the shot to the body.
Anderson Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kalkbrenner.
A telegraphed right hand from Machida misses the target.
Kalkbrenner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kalkbrenner ducks right into an uppercut from Machida.
Machida lands with a hook. Kalkbrenner tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Machida has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Machida ducks under a wild hook from Kalkbrenner.
Anderson Machida is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Machida feints a jab promting Kalkbrenner to slip. Machida then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kalkbrenner slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kalkbrenner jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kalkbrenner takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Machida lands an overhand right.
Machida slips a jab from Kalkbrenner.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machida uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kalkbrenner has time to react.
Machida listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Kalkbrenner is rocked!
Kalkbrenner drops his hands momentarily. Machida doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kalkbrenner staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kalkbrenner doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anderson Machida!
