Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank McCay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Firahzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Firahzi is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bad Guy - 3OH!3. Joe Firahzi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Frank McCay's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank McCay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Firahzi!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCay takes a swing at Firahzi's ribcage but misses.
McCay slips a straight right by Firahzi.
Firahzi moves out of range as McCay strikes.
McCay walks into a jab.
Firahzi connects with a body shot.
We've been told by McCay's head coaches at WarZone Training Facility 2 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
McCay misses with a few strikes there.
Firahzi tries to move into range but McCay moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McCay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Firahzi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McCay moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Firahzi stuns McCay with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
McCay tries to close the distance and clinch but Firahzi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Firahzi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Firahzi is working for a submission of some sort.

Firahzi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McCay doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Firahzi.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Firahzi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McCay does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
McCay is trying to stand back up but Firahzi is controlling him

Firahzi looking for a submission but McCay manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Firahzi wants to control from the top but McCay keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Firahzi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McCay is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McCay has escaped and now he's on top!
Firahzi has a closed guard, preventing McCay from standing up.

Firahzi manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Firahzi tries to score a body lock takedown but McCay shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

McCay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McCay tries to land a front kick but Firahzi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Firahzi lands with a hook. McCay tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Firahzi looks to land a combination but McCay avoids it well.
McCay slips under a jab.
McCay misses with a looping left.
Firahzi lands a right hook to the body.
Firahzi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McCay on the side of the head.
Firahzi ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking McCay out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Firahzi!
Joe Firahzi decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
