The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua wants to clinch but Gaarlandt slips to the side
and Gaarlandt counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Rua down! Gaarlandt is looking to finish but Rua is intelligently defending himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Rua is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

and Rua takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Gaarlandt counters with a straight right hand.

and Gaarlandt counters with a huge left! Rua is in big trouble! He's backing up but Gaarlandt isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Rua from any more damage. A dominating finish by Gaarlandt!
