Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dick Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boby Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valentine comes to the cage accompanied by I Buy the Drugs. Lee comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nelly - Just a Dream kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dick Valentine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Boby Lee! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.

Valentine connects with a looping right hand.
Lee darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Valentine throws a body punch but Lee moves out of range. Lee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Valentine. Lee misses with an uppercut. Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lee lands a jab-cross combination. Lee keeps the fight on the outside. Valentine misses with a lunging right hand
and Lee counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Valentine avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lee. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Lee thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lee takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Valentine keeping hold of Lee's head, controlling as best he can. Lee is controlling the pace.

Lee uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Valentine. Lee scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lee looks to land a left hand but Valentine moved out of range nicely. Valentine falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lee counters with a one-two to the body. Valentine throws the left hand but Lee avoids the punch easily. Valentine swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Valentine thows a body shot but no joy. Lee staying out of range there. Lee takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Valentine looks to land a right hand but Lee moved out of range. Lee swings widly with a right hand
and Valentine counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lee's guard now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Valentine wanted to stand there but Lee had control of the position.
Valentine stands up and waves to Lee to follow him. Valentine lands with a right hand.

Lee is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lee needs to keep his hands up - Valentine had a free shot at his head there.

and Lee counters with a straight right hand. Lee is still on wobbly legs! Can Valentine finish him? Lee displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Valentine throws out the jab. Valentine throws an overhand right that lands on Lee's shoulder, as Lee tries to avoid the shot. Lee lands with an uppercut that bounces Valentine off the cage and back into range. Valentine tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lee swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lee avoids the head kick by Valentine.
The fighters circling - Valentine throws out the jab but it was never going to land. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Valentine misses with a lunging right hand
and Lee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Lee defending well as Valentine loads up on a big left hand. Valentine is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lee. Lee slips a jab from Valentine. Valentine swings widly with a right hand
and Lee counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. The fighters circling - Valentine throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Valentine clinches up with Lee and pushes him back against the cage. Lee dodges an elbow strike from Valentine.
Valentine breaks the clinch.
Valentine misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dick Valentine dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A jab lands there for Lee. Lee seems to have recovered his senses. Lee takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Valentine misses with a right hand and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Dick Valentine is winning the standup battle so far.
Valentine has Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee lands a left hand that snaps the head of Valentine backwards. Lee prevents Valentine from breaking the clinch.
Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Valentine looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lee takes a body punch but keeps moving. Valentine throws a jab but it's blocked by Lee. Valentine throws a right hand that Lee ducks under and follows up with a left that Lee also avoids with ease. Lee moves away from the strike by Valentine.

Lee scores with a jab. Lee feints a jab promting Valentine to slip. Lee then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Valentine slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Valentine misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lee.

Lee swats away the attempt to clinch by Valentine. Lee might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Valentine misses with a hook to the body

enabling Lee to counter with a crisp jab. Valentine looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Valentine rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dick Valentine will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Valentine circles away quickly and effectively. Lee fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Lee scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Valentine ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lee moves away.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Valentine cracks Lee with a right hand to the side of the head. Lee keeps the fight on the outside. Valentine throws an off balance right hand
and Lee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Valentine throws a hook to the side of Lee's head but Lee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Valentine lands with a nice body punch. Valentine throws a series of punches but Lee avoids them all with ease. Valentine throws a half hearted mid kick.

Lee throws out a powerful jab. Valentine throws a shot from downtown. Lee moves away and avoids it. Valentine lands with a good body shot. Dick Valentine is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Valentine throws a poor cross that misses
and Lee makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Lee bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Valentine looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Valentine will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

And that's the end of the fight! Dick Valentine showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Valentine, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
