Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gary Landonson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landonson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is AM/PM. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Landonson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hugh Brock! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Landonson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brock circles away. Brock moves into range and clinches up with Landonson. Brock gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brock is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Landonson is trying to maintain the position but Brock is very close to passing his half guard. Landonson tries to get to full guard but Brock has control of the leg. Brock thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Landonson trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Brock manages to pass to mount!
Landonson tries to reverse the position but Brock maintains control. Brock is standing up, even though he is in mount. Brock looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Brock stays in close to Landonson's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Landonson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Brock slips nicely into half guard. Brock prevents Landonson from standing back up.
Brock looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Landonson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Brock is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Landonson defends it well. Landonson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Landonson is breathing heavily. Landonson is trying to stand up here but Brock is controlling him well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Brock moves into full mount! Landonson won't be happy about that! Brock looking to control and managing it successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brock avoids the attempt from Landonson to control. Brock controlling his opponent. Landonson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Brock content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Landonson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Brock working for a guillotine from mount but Landonson is in no mood to give up. Landonson is trying desperately to improve position. Brock content just to control the position here. Brock looking to secure an arm triangle but Landonson defends it well. Landonson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Brock had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Landonson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brock Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Landonson's back instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brock controlling the position well here. Landonson rolled but Brock kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Brock connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Landonson to escape the position.
Brock is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
I would not like to be Landonson right now.
Brock has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Landonson! Can he survive? No! He's out! Brock gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
