The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nog clinches up with Penn and pushes him back against the cage.

Penn breaks from the clinch.
Nog closes this distance looking for a takedown but Penn circles away.
Nog has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nog there as he acknowledges the shot.
Penn connects with a jab.
Nice sprawl there from Penn as Nog shoots in.
Nog swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Nog walks into a left hand.
Nog tries to close the distance and clinch but Penn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Penn lands a jab to the nose.
Nathan Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nog shoots in and gets a takedown into Penn's guard.

Nog controls from within his opponent's guard.
Nog throwing strikes from guard but Penn blocks nicely.

Nog loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Penn throws his legs up looking for a submission but Nog uses it to pass to side control.
Penn is breathing heavily.
Nog advances to full mount.
Nog avoids the attempt from Penn to control.
Penn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nog on the ground.
Nog controlling the position easily from mount.
Penn taking shots to the head.

Nog lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nog throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Penn has his hands clasped together but Nog breaks the hold and Penn is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Nog!
