Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ender Wiggin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Jones!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wiggin misses with the combination.

Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jones's coach down at Ballas Only was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jones's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Wiggin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wiggin throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wiggin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Wiggin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Wiggin takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
A combination from Wiggin does no damage.

Jones blocks a leg kick.

and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Wiggin wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.

Jones postures up in Wiggin's guard and throws a big left but Wiggin blocks it.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jones wants to pass the guard but Wiggin is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wiggin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Wiggin manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Paul Jones dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wiggin comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Wiggin is keen to just control but Jones is a slippery customer.

Jones wants to get back to full guard.
Wiggin sitting and controlling from the half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ender Wiggin.
I think Wiggin has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
