Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladik Fedotov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick James!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedotov just misses with a punch to the body.
Fedotov wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance.

James moves into the clinch successfully.
James doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
James managing to block the knees to the body from Fedotov.
James fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
James lands a nice shot to the body.
I was talking to Fedotov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
With the fighters up against the cage, Fedotov throws an elbow but misses.
Fedotov's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Fedotov unloads a knee to the mid-section.
A head punch on the inside from James fails to land.
James misses with the head strike.
James makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Fedotov.
James swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fedotov tried to land a shot to the body but connects with James's elbow.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Fedotov.
James has a couple of punches blocked by Fedotov.

That's one minute gone in the round.
James has Fedotov pushed against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from James.
A short body shot lands from James as the two fighters clinch.
A short right from Fedotov on the inside.
James swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fedotov's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A short uppercut from Fedotov.
James misses with a hook from the clinch.
Fedotov blocking some punches.
James lands a hook to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fedotov pushes James back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
James lands a left hand.
Still in the clinch, James scores with a nice short uppercut.


Fedotov is rocked!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Fedotov.
James prevents a body shot from Fedotov.
A right hook to the body lands for Fedotov.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
James has Fedotov pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Fedotov is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from James - that's hurt Fedotov badly! Oh, another knee lands and Fedotov is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Fedotov doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Rick James!
Rick James bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
