Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between DAVID TORRES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and D Bullit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice combination there by TORRES.
TORRES darts in and clinches Bullit up against the cage. TORRES with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bullit wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but TORRES has him pressed against the cage. TORRES landing knees to the head.
It looks like D Bullit has been cut. TORRES lands a damaging elbow. TORRES lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bullit backwards. Bullit has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. TORRES is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Bullit fails to pull guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bullit drops to a knee looking for a takedown but TORRES gets the underhooks and prevents it.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. TORRES could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bullit keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bullit sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. TORRES throwing shots but Bullit is blocking nicely. Bullit avoiding damage under a succession of punches from TORRES. Bullit is staying active underneath TORRES, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. TORRES not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. TORRES seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bullit does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bullit trying to control but TORRES postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Bullit with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Bullit shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bullit showed some decent athleticism there. Bullit looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's four minutes gone in the round. TORRES on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. TORRES tries to get to full guard but Bullit has control of the leg. Bullit is figuring out what he wants to do next. Bullit wants to lay and pray for a moment but TORRES keeps working. TORRES works his way to full guard. Good work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bullit stays in close to TORRES's body and controls the position. Bullit sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed TORRES's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DAVID TORRES dominated that round. The cut man is working on D Bullit's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
TORRES gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bullit counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bullit preventing the sweep. Bullit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with TORRES. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bullit chips away with some ground and pound. TORRES trying to keep a closed guard but Bullit is proving a slippery customer.
TORRES escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bullit gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bullit content to stall in guard here. Bullit must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. TORRES lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bullit!
That's one minute gone in the round. TORRES can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bullit is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bullit is breathing heavily. A nice elbow there by TORRES. TORRES landing strikes from the mount and Bullit is in trouble! TORRES wants to control the pace but Bullit is squirming around nicely. TORRES lands a big shot there that rocks Bullit but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

This is bad for Bullit! TORRES tries to control but Bullit wriggling away. Bullit tries to hold on but TORRES pushes him away. DAVID TORRES overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. TORRES controlling his opponent. Bullit is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bullit is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

TORRES lands a heavy elbow. TORRES pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Bullit working to try and regain half guard.
TORRES postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bullit looks a forlorn figure.

DAVID TORRES dominated that second round. The cut man is working on D Bullit's cut. That's time! TORRES's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
TORRES clinches up with Bullit and pushes him back against the cage. Bullit letting TORRES take a breather here. TORRES looking for a takedown. Bullit is working for takedown but TORRES is calmly controlling the position for now. TORRES unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bullit lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Bullit is fighting off a takedown attempt but TORRES is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bullit to the mat. Bullit regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. TORRES pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bullit is keeping the position for now. Bullit keeping moving, preventing TORRES from controlling successfully. Bullit is looking to stand up but TORRES isn't so interested in that idea. TORRES wants to control from the top but Bullit keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight! DAVID TORRES showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for TORRES, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
