Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Droski De La Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rcrs Sarabjit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Droski De La Cruz has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Droski De La Cruz seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sarabjit wants to clinch. De La Cruz fails to land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Sarabjit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sarabjit shoots in looking for a takedown. De La Cruz tries to sprawl out of it but Sarabjit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De La Cruz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sarabjit throws a series of punches but De La Cruz avoids them all with ease. Sarabjit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. De La Cruz throws out a leg kick but Sarabjit moves out of range and De La Cruz only half commits. Sarabjit misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Droski De La Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rcrs Sarabjit. Some wild striking there from Sarabjit.

That's one minute gone in the round. De La Cruz tries to bum rush Sarabjit with a series of wild strikes but Sarabjit uses good footwork to avoid the assault. De La Cruz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. De La Cruz is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sarabjit gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and De La Cruz counters with a head kick. Sarabjit closes the distance and clinches up with De La Cruz, looking for a takedown. Sarabjit pushes De La Cruz against the cage but De La Cruz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sarabjit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. De La Cruz tries to avoid it but Sarabjit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag De La Cruz to the ground. De La Cruz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sarabjit closes the distance looking to clinch and De La Cruz counters with a nice body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sarabjit shoots for a takedown but De La Cruz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sarabjit should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Sarabjit tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sarabjit throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. De La Cruz was covering up waiting for the punch and Sarabjit finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sarabjit tries to stand but De La Cruz is controlling from the bottom. De La Cruz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. De La Cruz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sarabjit tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but De La Cruz defends well and Sarabjit ends up having to push De La Cruz into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A knee to the head by Sarabjit.
De La Cruz is trying to break the clinch but Sarabjit is controlling him. De La Cruz is pressed up against the cage. Sarabjit has hold of a leg and is looking to drag De La Cruz down to the mat. De La Cruz avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. De La Cruz with a poor takedown and Sarabjit counters with a left and a right that stings De La Cruz. De La Cruz throws a head kick but Sarabjit moves out of range.

Sarabjit closes the distance and pushes De La Cruz back into the cage. Sarabjit goes for a takedown attempt but De La Cruz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Sarabjit looks winded! Sarabjit shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says De La Cruz as he avoids it easily. De La Cruz is looking to clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sarabjit keeps the fight on the outside. Sarabjit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

A close round but Rcrs Sarabjit will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
De La Cruz scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Rcrs Sarabjit has been cut. De La Cruz misses with a wild combination.
De La Cruz tries for a takedown but Sarabjit sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sarabjit has eaten all the pies! Sarabjit wants to clinch. De La Cruz circles away from the clinch attempt and De La Cruz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. De La Cruz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sarabjit regains full guard. Nicely done. De La Cruz trying to control but Sarabjit is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. De La Cruz scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sarabjit has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but De La Cruz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sarabjit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sarabjit keeping moving, preventing De La Cruz from controlling successfully. De La Cruz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De La Cruz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sarabjit utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sarabjit working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because De La Cruz has passed into half guard!
Sarabjit is in trouble now - De La Cruz has advanced to mount! De La Cruz with shots to the head and body - Sarabjit looks very uncomfortable down there.

De La Cruz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. De La Cruz dominating with strikes here. Nice takedown defense from De La Cruz. No joy for Sarabjit on that attempt. Droski De La Cruz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rcrs Sarabjit. Sarabjit misses with a few strikes there.
Sarabjit shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sarabjit was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! De La Cruz is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sarabjit's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Sarabjit takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. De La Cruz is looking for a sweep. Sarabjit is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Droski De La Cruz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sarabjit preventing the sweep. De La Cruz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Droski De La Cruz. I think De La Cruz has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
