Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frontalik Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urijah Faber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Frontalik Wilder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Urijah Faber!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Faber fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wilder to the ground. Faber is now in Wilder's guard.
Wilder keeping moving, preventing Faber from controlling successfully.
Wilder wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Faber is now in half guard.
Wilder is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Wilder wants to control but Faber is keeping busy.

Wilder is defending against the submission attempts here by Faber.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Faber is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Wilder trying to control from the bottom.
Faber lands strikes from half guard.
Wilder is trying to control but can't.

Faber wants to take a breather but Wilder is having none of it.
Faber stalling away here and it's allowed Wilder to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Wilder looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Faber drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Faber jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wilder is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Faber is stalling in the full guard.

Frontalik Wilder has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Faber lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Faber.

Wilder closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilder lands in his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Faber is pulling down on Wilder's head to control his posture.
Wilder slips nicely into half guard.
Wilder moves nicely into side control.

Wilder tries for a kimura but Faber is defending well.

Faber is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Wilder is pressing down on Faber's thigh, looking to free his foot. Faber is holding on for now.
Wilder works his way into side control.

Wilder is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Faber knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Faber is looking for a sweep.
Faber wants to get back to his feet but Wilder drags him back down.

Wilder looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Faber prevents Wilder from improving position.
Faber tries to bench press Wilder off him but Wilder keeps the position.

Wilder is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Faber is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Faber struggling a bit here.

Wilder is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Faber has escaped the position, nice work there.
Faber is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wilder looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Faber is trying to control Wilder's posture but Wilder avoids it.
Faber manages to work his way to half guard, despite Wilder's best efforts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Frontalik Wilder will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Faber ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wilder shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Faber defends it nicely.
Wilder fails with the takedown

and Faber counters with a shoot takedown. Wilder fights it but they end up in guard.

Faber drops back looking for a leg! Wilder is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wilder manages to kick Faber off! Faber jumps back into Wilder's guard.
Wilder is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Faber controlling from the top position.
Faber wants to pass the guard but Wilder is keeping the position.
Wilder not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Faber tries to free his leg and advance position but Wilder is retaining full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Frontalik Wilder wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Faber shoots in but Wilder avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Faber fails with a takedown attempt.
Faber keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frontalik Wilder. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Faber working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilder is looking to reverse the position.

Wilder holds on to Faber's head and controls the position momentarily.
Wilder is trying to control Faber's posture but Faber avoids it.

Faber has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Wilder is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Faber yanks on the arm and Wilder is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Faber.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Urijah Faber!
During a confident post fight interview, Urijah Faber thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
