Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Corrigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watts has chosen Seek and Destroy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Andrew Watts told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Corrigan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Watts! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watts misses with a takedown attempt - Corrigan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Watts feints and as Corrigan raises his hands in defense, Watts changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Watts drops back looking for a leg! Corrigan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Corrigan manages to kick Watts off! Watts jumps back into Corrigan's guard. Corrigan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Corrigan keeping full guard, as Watts tries to pass. Watts is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Watts drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Watts jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Watts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Corrigan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Corrigan keeping full guard, as Watts tries to pass. Watts is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Corrigan is adopting a defensive guard. Corrigan looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corrigan wants to stand but Watts is controlling the position. Corrigan manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Watts is defending well against a takedown attempt. Watts drops down looking for an ankle pick but Corrigan pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corrigan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Watts's half guard. Corrigan is breathing heavily. Watts looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Corrigan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Watts keeps working. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Watts looking for submissions off his back. Watts moves into full guard.
Watts keeping moving, preventing Corrigan from controlling successfully. Corrigan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Corrigan wants to stand but Watts is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corrigan won't allow Watts to sweep him here. Watts looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Corrigan working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Watts is on top in guard.
Watts postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Corrigan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Watts, into his guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Corrigan trying to control the position from guard on top but Watts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Corrigan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Watts on the ground. Corrigan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Watts is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corrigan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Watts is on top in guard.
Watts postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Corrigan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Watts, into his guard. Corrigan stopping the sweep attempt from Watts. Corrigan trying to control the position from guard on top but Watts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watts wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Watts dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Corrigan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Corrigan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Corrigan seems to be working for a kimura but Watts defends the submission attempt. The fighters are battling for position here. Watts manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Corrigan advances to half guard. Watts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Corrigan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Andrew Watts has got the better of the ground game so far. Watts tries to roll over but Corrigan keeps him under control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Corrigan stops Watts from standing up. Watts has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Corrigan has passed into side control.
Corrigan working the ground and pound. Watts looking for a sweep but Corrigan has passed into full mount! Oh no! Watts is controlling an arm, preventing Corrigan from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Watts in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Watts slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Watts taking some punishment here, with Corrigan in his half guard. Corrigan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Corrigan wants to work for an arm triangle but Watts is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Watts manages to get to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watts has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Corrigan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Corrigan drops back looking for a leg! Watts is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Watts manages to kick Corrigan off! Corrigan jumps back into Watts's guard. Watts looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Corrigan is posturing up here but Watts has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Corrigan tries to roll out but it's too tight and Corrigan has to tap! Slick submission there by Watts!
