And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Lineker!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beckett misses with a looping left.
Beckett with a hook.
Beckett will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Beckett swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lineker tries to score with a low kick but Beckett moves his leg out of the way.
Lineker walks into a straight right hand from Beckett.
Beckett ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lineker pivots, looking for a leg kick but Beckett is out of range and Lineker settles back down.
An inside leg kick lands from Lineker.
Lineker misses with a hook.
Beckett checks a low kick from Lineker.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lineker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lineker misses with a low kick.
Lineker ducks under a wild hook from Beckett.
A head kick misses from Beckett.
Lineker is looking to chop away at Beckett's legs.

Beckett connects with an inside leg kick.
Beckett throws a sloppy head kick and Lineker moves out of range easily.

Lineker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Beckett.
Lineker is looking to score with low kicks.
Robert Beckett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lineker tries a head kick but it misses.

A bone on bone clash there as Lineker blocks the leg kick.
Beckett dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lineker. That did some damage!

and Lineker counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Beckett is lucky that one didn't land flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lineker connects with a leg kick. Beckett looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Lineker on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Beckett. Beckett obviously looking to wear him down.

Beckett lands a big head kick that sends Lineker tumbling to the mat! Beckett takes a step backwards and waves Lineker back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lineker looks up at the clock. Bad move! Beckett lands a right hand from hell, dropping Lineker. Beckett pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

An out of breath Robert Beckett thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
