Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Cage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Garrett Greene!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Greene shoots in and bounces Cage off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cage is trying to control the position but Greene postures up.
Cage wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Greene is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Greene passes into half guard.

Greene looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cage controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cage is trying to control but can't.
Cage is doing well to control the position and prevent Greene from advancing to side control.
Cage is looking to improve his position.

Cage is defending against the submission attempts here by Greene.

Greene stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cage pulls Greene in to control the position.
Greene postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Cage is trying to control the position but Greene postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cage has momentary wrist control but Greene slips an elbow through the middle.

Cage uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Greene takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Greene looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cage is fending him off so far but Greene persists. Nope, Cage circles away and we're back to standing.
Donk. Cage catches Greene right on the button with a cross.
Greene swings away with a body shot that misses
and Cage counters with a stiff right hand.
A left and a right from Cage both land. Nice combination.
Greene throws a combination that misses
and Cage counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cage connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Greene momentarily.
Cage scores with a nice strike.
Cage thuds a left hand into Greene's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Greene throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cage counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cage lands with a straight right. Greene didn't see that one coming.

Greene moves in looking to clinch but Cage pushes him off.

Greene takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Johnny Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Cage counters with an outside leg kick.
Cage goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Greene has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Cage clobbers Greene with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Greene on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cage. Cage obviously looking to wear him down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Greene stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cage.
Cage bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Greene's head backwards.

Greene shoots for a double leg takedown but Cage sprawls well. He's pushed Greene's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
