The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sturd throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Antonio Manoel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sturd uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Manoel.
Manoel stuns Sturd with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Manoel moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Manoel moves into range and clinches up with Sturd.
Manoel misses with a hook from the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Manoel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Manoel lands a hook that snaps the head of Sturd backwards.
Sturd tries for a takedown. No joy.

Sturd is trying to push Manoel away but Manoel has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A nice right hand lands inside from Manoel.

Sturd has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Manoel is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Manoel throws a head punch that misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Manoel.
Manoel stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Sturd wants a takedown but no success here.
Sturd swings wildly with an uppercut but Manoel uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sturd tries for a takedown but Manoel manages to get underhooks.
Sturd's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Manoel walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Sturd drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Manoel swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Sturd's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
