Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Callahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Harry Callahan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luis Mendoza! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callahan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Callahan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Callahan.
Mendoza defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Callahan. Callahan sizes up Mendoza with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Mendoza staying out of range there. Mendoza misses the jab. A nice inside leg kick there by Callahan. That's going to slow Mendoza down. Callahan lands a right hook to the body.
Mendoza gets caught flat footed, as Callahan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mendoza looking for a guillotine here but Callahan defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mendoza wants to stand and escape but Callahan is having none of it. Callahan scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Mendoza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Callahan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Callahan content to control rather than advance. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mendoza manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Callahan keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mendoza is trying to force a seperation but Callahan has the dominant position. Mendoza looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mendoza is trying to break free. Callahan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Callahan lands with a light punch inside. Callahan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Mendoza tries to break free but Callahan pushes him back against the cage. Callahan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mendoza gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Mendoza's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mendoza wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Mendoza lands with a short shot to the head. Callahan can't find room to land a body shot as Mendoza controls the action.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Callahan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Mendoza tries to circle away but Callahan has him pinned against the cage. Callahan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Mendoza wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Mendoza's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A short right hand to the side of the head by Callahan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mendoza wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Callahan has him pressed against the cage. Mendoza tries a body shot but Callahan blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mendoza has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Mendoza tries to circle away but Callahan has him pinned against the cage. Callahan taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Callahan throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Luis Mendoza is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mendoza misses with a right hand and Callahan counters with a low kick, right behind Mendoza 's knee. Callahan looks for a takedown but Mendoza sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harry Callahan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Callahan throws a right hand that misses
and Mendoza connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Callahan takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Mendoza misses with a looping right. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mendoza just misses with a punch to the body.
Callahan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nice defenses there by Callahan. Callahan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Mendoza counter with a right hand. Mendoza keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Callahan throws the left hand but Mendoza avoids the punch easily. Callahan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mendoza throws out the jab. Mendoza does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Callahan throws a body punch but Mendoza moves out of range. Callahan lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mendoza's sensitive parts. Callahan throws a quick inside leg kick. Mendoza takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Callahan throws a hook to the side of Mendoza's head but Mendoza sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A telegraphed right hand from Callahan misses the target. Mendoza throws a poor cross that misses
and Callahan counters with a right hand to the body. Mendoza on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Callahan throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Callahan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mendoza was well out of range. Poor timing from Callahan. Mendoza throws a lazy uppercut
and Callahan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Harry Callahan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendoza loads up on a big right hand but Callahan slips the punch. Callahan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Callahan forces his way into half guard. Mendoza is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Callahan pulls his head out easily. Callahan prevents Mendoza from improving his position. Callahan is pressing down on Mendoza's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mendoza is holding on for now. Mendoza trying to control but Callahan postures up.

Callahan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mendoza is just riding it out for now. Callahan eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mendoza wants to control but Callahan is keeping busy and won't allow it. Callahan performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Mendoza is looking to escape.

Callahan looking to pass the guard. Callahan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mendoza has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Callahan has managed to get both his arms back between Mendoza's legs - danger averted. Callahan wants to control from the top but Mendoza keeps moving. Mendoza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Callahan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mendoza keeping moving, preventing Callahan from controlling successfully. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Harry Callahan dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Horrible takedown by Callahan or perhaps it was just good defense by Mendoza which made him look bad. Harry Callahan is winning the standup battle so far. A swing and a miss from Callahan. Callahan misses with a looping right. Callahan gets a takedown into half guard. Callahan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mendoza doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Callahan. Callahan is working for a kimura here but Mendoza manages to reverse the position and he's now in Callahan's guard.

Callahan wants to control his opponent's hands but Mendoza gets his hands free. Mendoza tightening his grip on Callahan, looking for the choke. Callahan breaks Mendoza's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

This has been an exciting period of action! Mendoza keeping full guard, as Callahan tries to pass. Callahan is working hard here to advance position. Mendoza is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Callahan is aware though and is defending well. Callahan tries to free his leg and advance position but Mendoza is retaining full guard. Callahan wants to control from the top but Mendoza keeps moving. Callahan stopping the sweep attempt from Mendoza. Mendoza is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Callahan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mendoza's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mendoza's back! Callahan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Mendoza has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Callahan lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Callahan arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

A very excited looking Harry Callahan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
