Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melendez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Brooklyn Zoo. Yuudai has chosen Fear of the dark - Iron Maiden as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuudai lands a head kick!
It looks like Mauricio Melendez has been cut.
Yuudai drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yuudai working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Melendez's head.

Yuudai is working Melendez over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Oh Melendez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yuudai has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Yuudai gets to his feet and stands over Melendez, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Melendez felt that one! Yuudai unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Melendez from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeshi Yuudai!

A very excited looking Takeshi Yuudai made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
