Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damo Bodhidharma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Avreli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Damo Bodhidharma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Avreli! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bodhidharma lands a big head kick that sends Avreli tumbling to the mat! Bodhidharma takes a step backwards and waves Avreli back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Mark Avreli has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Avreli connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Bodhidharma throws a left and a right that both miss
and Avreli cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Avreli shoots in but Bodhidharma avoids the takedown attempt easily. Mark Avreli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Avreli missing with a left hand there. Bodhidharma was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Avreli looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Bodhidharma keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Damo Bodhidharma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Avreli. Bodhidharma is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Avreli tries for a takedown but Bodhidharma circles away easily and Bodhidharma counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Nice body punch from Bodhidharma.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bodhidharma escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Avreli blocks a head kick by Bodhidharma.
Bodhidharma throws a head kick that misses. Nice body kick there by Bodhidharma. A combination from Bodhidharma does no damage. Avreli throws a hook but Bodhidharma blocks it. Bodhidharma tries a head kick but it misses.
A swing and a miss from Avreli. Bodhidharma steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Avreli. Avreli slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Avreli thows a left - swing and a miss! Damo Bodhidharma is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bodhidharma tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Avreli avoids the head kick by Bodhidharma.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bodhidharma lands a head kick. Avreli smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
That has opened up Mark Avreli's cut even more. Avreli connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Bodhidharma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Avreli on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Avreli throws a shot from downtown. Bodhidharma moves away and avoids it. Bodhidharma throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Avreli throws a jab but it's blocked by Bodhidharma. Bodhidharma takes a shot right to the bread basket. Avreli blocks a head kick by Bodhidharma.
Avreli with a nice cross. Bodhidharma walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Bodhidharma takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bodhidharma keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Avreli takes a swing at Bodhidharma's ribcage but misses. Bodhidharma cracks the inside of Avreli's front leg. Avreli swings for the body but Bodhidharma moves out of range.
Avreli is trying desperately to land a takedown but Bodhidharma is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Avreli. Avreli throws a poor cross that misses
and Bodhidharma counters with a nice body shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Bodhidharma.
The cut above Mark Avreli's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Bodhidharma tries a head kick but it misses.
Avreli bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bodhidharma's head. Avreli throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bodhidharma. Avreli pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Avreli looks to land a right hand but Bodhidharma moved out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Avreli tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bodhidharma sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Avreli somewhat. Avreli misses the jab. Avreli ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Avreli is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Bodhidharma had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Avreli throws a hook but Bodhidharma avoids it easily. Avreli might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Sloppy strikes from Bodhidharma. Those never looked like landing. Avreli throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bodhidharma explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Some bone on bone action there as Avreli checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Avreli lands with a good body shot. Avreli misses with an uppercut. Bodhidharma saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damo Bodhidharma dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mark Avreli's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bodhidharma tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bodhidharma ducks under a wild hook from Avreli. Avreli lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Avreli throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bodhidharma's waist but Bodhidharma gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Avreli off to one side. Avreli ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bodhidharma moves away. Avreli throws a body punch but Bodhidharma moves out of range. Avreli throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Avreli has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bodhidharma. Bodhidharma throws a one two combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bodhidharma moves out of range as Avreli strikes. Bodhidharma swinging wildly here.
Damo Bodhidharma is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Avreli takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bodhidharma throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Avreli works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Avreli avoids a kick to the body.
Bodhidharma takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Avreli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bodhidharma slips a straight right by Avreli. Some wild striking there from Avreli.
Bodhidharma misses with a body kick. Bodhidharma's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bodhidharma duly obliges. Avreli throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bodhidharma counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Avreli is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Mark Avreli's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Avreli's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
