Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mayo Kermode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Costa slips a jab and a cross from Kermode.

Costa looks to land a strike but Kermode avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Kermode is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Costa is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kermode defends well.

Costa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kermode was well out of range. Poor timing from Costa.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kermode looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A frustrated look appears on Costa's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Kermode pushes off an throws an elbow but Costa leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Kermode tries to land knees in the clinch but Costa avoids the damage to the body.

Costa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kermode wants to clinch.
Mayo Kermode is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kermode fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Costa manages to avoid it.

Kermode closes the distance and clinches.
Costa wants to break the clinch but can't.
Costa takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Quentin Costa has been cut.
Kermode creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Costa takes a knee to the side of the body.
Costa takes an elbow to the temple.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Kermode tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Kermode has Costa pressed against the cage. He pushes Costa back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Kermode throws a beautiful elbow that sends Costa crashing to the floor! Kermode piles on the pressure with more strikes! Costa is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mayo Kermode!
During a confident post fight interview, Mayo Kermode thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
