Tavern has chosen One Day Too Late as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skargholm scores with a takedown into Tavern's guard.
Skargholm trying to control the position from guard on top but Tavern is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Skargholm won't allow Tavern to get back to his feet.

Tavern looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Tavern looking for a guillotine here but Skargholm defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Skargholm stands and throws Tavern's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Skargholm working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
You can see the frustration on Tavern's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tavern is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Skargholm asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Skargholm wants to stand but Tavern has his arm trapped.

Tavern is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Skargholm tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Skargholm has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Tavern wants to get back to his feet but Skargholm drags him back down.

Skargholm throws an elbow but Tavern slips to the side and avoids it well.
Tavern is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
What's Tavern going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Skargholm tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Skargholm looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Tavern is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Skargholm doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tavern.

Tavern maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Skargholm could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Tavern has cracked it and Skargholm is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Tavern!

A relieved looking Makaweli Tavern thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
