The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sampson tries a head kick but it misses.
Marin avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sampson moves in looking to clinch but Marin pushes him off.

Marin tries to keep at a distance but Sampson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Marin tries to break free but Sampson pushes him back against the ropes.
Sampson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Marin is trying to force a seperation but Sampson has the dominant position.

Sampson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Marin is trying to push Sampson away but Sampson has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

It looks like Rocky Marin has been cut.

Marin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Marin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rocky Marin's cut is getting worse.
Marin misses with a wild body shot.
Oh Marin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Marin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Sampson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marin seems to have got his legs back now.
Sampson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Sampson throws a nice outside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marin tries to close the distance and clinch but Sampson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sampson is looking to clinch but Marin is avoiding it.

Sampson rushes Marin and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Marin misses with some punches.
Marin is trying to push Sampson away but Sampson has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Sampson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Marin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


No joy there for Sampson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Marin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Marin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Marin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sampson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Marin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Well Sampson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
