Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Karwoski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kinny Carose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kirk Karwoski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kinny Carose!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karwoski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


It looks like Kinny Carose has been cut.
Karwoski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A chopping leg kick lands by Karwoski.

Carose shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Carose showed some decent athleticism there.

Carose is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Karwoski has managed to free his arm - good work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carose is trying to control. Karwoski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karwoski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Carose seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Karwoski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Karwoski is trying to maintain the position but Carose is very close to passing his half guard.
Carose missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Carose not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Carose has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Karwoski gets full guard.
Carose is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Carose tries to free his leg and advance position but Karwoski is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carose accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Carose trying to control but Karwoski is working from the bottom.
Karwoski has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Carose is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kinny Carose.
Karwoski misses with a low kick.
Carose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Karwoski tries to avoid it but Carose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Karwoski to the ground. Karwoski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Karwoski throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Karwoski lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Karwoski is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Some wild striking there from Carose.
A jab from Karwoski does it's job there.
Carose staying out of range there.
Horrible takedown by Carose or perhaps it was just good defense by Karwoski which made him look bad.
Carose shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Karwoski but Karwoski pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kirk Karwoski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kinny Carose.
Karwoski moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Karwoski is looking to slow Carose down with leg kicks.

Carose has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Carose there as he acknowledges the shot.

Karwoski connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Karwoski fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Carose on the side of the head.


That has opened up Kinny Carose's cut even more.
Karwoski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carose.
Karwoski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carose.
Kirk Karwoski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Karwoski changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Carose throws a leg kick but Karwoski sees it coming and moves out of range.
Carose with a poor takedown
and Karwoski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Carose pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carose is looking to clinch.
Karwoski is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Karwoski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carose sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Karwoski jabs Carose right on the nose. Carose blinks but takes it well.
Carose takes one to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kirk Karwoski dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kinny Carose's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Carose checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Karwoski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Carose counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Karwoski is trying to keep Carose in close.
Carose postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Carose stays in close to Karwoski's body and controls the position.
Carose wants to control from the top but Karwoski keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kinny Carose wasn't active enough on the ground.
Karwoski lands a nice looking body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Karwoski lands a nice leg kick that just misses Carose's sensitive parts.
Karwoski scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Carose doesn't seem bothered though.
A shot to the liver by Karwoski. Beautiful body shot.
Karwoski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Karwoski, as that shot connected.


The cut above Kinny Carose's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
A punch lands to the side of Carose 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Karwoski scores with the left hand. Carose knows he should have avoided that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Karwoski waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carose.
Carose avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Carose doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Karwoski connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carose tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Karwoski connects with a crisp jab.


Carose is rocked!


Kinny Carose's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Karwoski throws out a loose jab but Carose uses good head movement to avoid it.
Karwoski scores with a body shot.
Karwoski looks to throw the jab but Carose is out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Karwoski as Carose shoots in.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kinny Carose's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kirk Karwoski!
Kirk Karwoski seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
