Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesse Banner! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Banner throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. We've been hearing reports that Jones has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. A big right from Banner misses. Randy Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Banner on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Banner ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jones keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Banner. Banner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Banner jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Banner throws out the jab. Banner jabbing away but nothing is landing. Banner drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Jones works Banner's body with a nice hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Banner sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jones misses with an uppercut. Banner saw that one coming. Banner throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jones darts in looking for a takedown but Banner gets double underhooks and turns Jones into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is trying to break the clinch but Banner is controlling him. Jones is trying to push Banner away but Banner has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Banner working hard to break the clinch. Banner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Banner manages to avoid it. Banner tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard. Banner trying to control but Jones postures up.
Banner preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Banner has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Banner won't allow Jones to pass to mount. Banner slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Banner holds on and takes a little breather. Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banner has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up. This has been an exciting period of action! Banner seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Banner keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones being controlled here momentarily.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Randy Jones just wasn't active enough. Jones tries to clinch there but Banner circles away.
Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones walks into a stiff left hand from Banner.

Banner lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Banner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Banner doesn't seem phased though. Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Banner circles away quickly and effectively. Banner misses the shot to the body. Banner misses with a looping right. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Banner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Banner looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. Banner circles away from the clinch attempt.
Banner slips under a jab. A swing and a miss from Jones. Jones fails to land the takedown. Jones swings widly with a right hand
and Banner counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jones misses the jab. Jesse Banner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones moves out of range of the body kick from Banner.
Jones throws the left hand but Banner avoids the punch easily. Banner throws a low kick but Jones moves out of range easily. Banner paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Banner looks to land a left hand but Jones moved out of range nicely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Banner connects with a jab. Jones loads up on a big right hand but Banner slips the punch. Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jesse Banner will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Randy Jones's cut. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A shot to the liver by Jones. Beautiful body shot. Jones connects with a single shot there. Banner throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Banner misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Jesse Banner seems to be getting the better of the standup. Banner misses the shot to the body. Banner takes one on the button. Jones scores with a nice strike. Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Banner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Jones fails to land the takedown. Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Banner counters with a left and a right that stings Jones. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A left lands for Banner. Banner lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Jones out cold! Jones is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
